Hello,

I'm currently having some trouble filling out this part of the application since im not living/working in Canada. How can i prove that once we get there I can financially support her, what should I write to try to make them understand that I will be looking for jobs once I get there?

Hello,

I'm currently having some trouble filling out this part of the application since im not living/working in Canada. How can i prove that once we get there I can financially support her, what should I write to try to make them understand that we wouldn't be needing any money from the government?

CIC only looks at NOA from CRA I think. NOA is trustworthy for CIC since making fraudulent tax claims to CRA is a serious crime.

If you are talking about outland sponsorship for your spouse or common-law partner, then yes you can write a letter to explain and give a detail plan on how to plan to re-settle in Canada and show savings to re-establish before you find a job.

If you are talking about parents and grandparents sponsorship, then only NOA from the past 3 years is considered.

She needs to show that she can support you if you're being sponsored and she is in Canada. You can also both show your savings.

what supporting documents does my husband provide. Do we have to prove our taxes together or T4?

thanks for the reply. So we should do our taxes together or separate not sure how it works. this is all new to us being a couple? Do just use the bank statement with both our names on it or do we need a letter from the bank?

I would include your current income source any saving and also your plan to find employment once in Canada.. a employment offer would be very handy
