Hi everyone,
I have a doubt regarding sop for study permit. I will be applying for visa in next week. I got selected in NAIT for chemical technology diploma.
actually I went canada for study in 2014 but had to return after a month because of some personal issue. Do I need to include any information regarding this in SOP. And if yes what should I write?

Please help me. I will be so thankful.

It's a tough call. There are pros and cons of it. Pros can be: You had come back to your country, so you don't have any intention to stay there. But you have to convince officer that you have your personal issue and may be it will help if you can elaborate the issue to them.

However, I think you have to provide your UIC of previous application. So, they can track your previous application. So, it is better if you can explain a little bit.

Every thing lies in the reason that forced you to come back. I assume this haven't been academic (means you were not expelled from institution, not met the requirement there and similar others). If the reason was beyond human control that forced for leaving the course than I believe mentioning it in a right way will be positive for you.
