SOP is MUST or NOT ???

I will mark this a must do even if you have strong case. With the help of SOP one's can justify the purpose of visit and ties with home country to assure visa visa officer that he/she will leave Canada after the end of stay. But don't worry, SOP is not a requirement your profile will be reviewed favorably

I say make an SOP it will only improve your chances unless it is badly written
in my sop i include
that my whole family is here and would come back after studying
and clearing what i did in my 1 year gap
what school i was attending/ why that school
why canada

take note I dont have my visa yet
what i have written is just something to get you started on your SOP

SOP isn't a requiremnt
it is just a form we can attach with ur file.

but GOOD THING is that i submitted my file ....

SOP isn't important at all unless you have some specific fact to disclose like a criminal warrant, long gap between studies etc. Just because a person types "I will come back to my country after my course is over" on an A4 sheet, doesn't mean the officer will believe you blindly; that's stupidity. The only way to convince the officer is by showing documents. To show home times, having your whole family in India will be more effective than being goody-goody in SOP.
SOP is for some specific circumstances so that if the officer is in doubt, he can ask for more clarification/documents. Regarding logical academic progression, language abilities etc, the officers are trained to reach a decision without the help of an SOP.
