Why CANADA:
I had decided on two countries to pursue this course, U.S and Canada, for the standard of education provided. However, I finalized on Canada, for it provides a very safe and affordable learning environment. It encourages unity in diversity, which will broaden my field of experience and global exposure to different perspectives. And most importantly the very same course in United States takes 2 years to complete in contrast to 12 months in Canada. After a significant 4 years in the workforce, I can’t afford to lose touch from it for a long time, which would definitely affect my career in a negative way. My peers and colleagues, too, have unanimously advised that Canada is the best choice for this course.
WHY Centennial:
1. Centennial is one of the most preferred colleges for this stream in Canada. My own reasons are not very different from others to opt for this institution. The program offered here follows the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) which mandates courses those are in-line with the current industry standards and requirements.
2. It includes hands-on integration of technology tools and case-studies with a unified focus on organizational leadership. It also focuses on assignments which have been designed for experimental learning opportunity. There is an immense stress on “On-Time” and “Cost-Effective” methodologies. Having worked on real time project deliveries, I know the significance of these methods.
3. Another aspect of this program is the optional Internship or Co-Op that is offered. In Centennial, which represents one of the most diverse student groups in the province, I would get a firsthand experience of interacting with people from different cultures and nationalities. It would be worthwhile to share our ideas and views, which would enhance my outlook on a comprehensive echelon.
4. Additionally this program trains a person for writing the PMP certification as a final step to an ensured and successful career in Management. Post graduation in this stream is the most logical extension of my academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives
