Hi All,
SOP is pretty important and your only point of communication(one way) with the VO.. Agreed!!
But, is it really needed the first time u apply? (SPP)
I mean.. sometimes, giving someone extra explanations for something raises a sense of alarm.. somethin goin fish
May be its just me.. But isnt it better to explain when asked to do so? In general sense, if we start explaining ourselves much before someone expresses the need for it, it raises an amount of suspicion.. Does it not?
--------------------
Your can see my profile here:
I am going for a "Marketing - Research and Analytics" based course, PG - Certificate (1 year)
It compliments my current experience as well as education.
There is just one tricky element I am worried about:
In my college, it was necessary for the total of every year marks to be 50% at least, apart from passing in all the subjects.
In the final year (2 sems), I passed all subjects, but my total was 12 marks short of 50%, so I cudnt get thru that year..
(was not keeping well for a long time but still went for exams.. n scored low..
)
I was given a choice to pick any number of subjects, from the last 6 semesters, and appear for re-exams to push up my score and make up those 12 marks..
I chose just one subject, gave the exam again, and scored.. So I cleared..
Just bcoz of that, my graduation was completed in 4, and not 3 year..
-----------------
Now, should I wait for the VO to assess my application, and see if he has a problem with anything..?
If not, then all good.. no need to explain nethng..
But, God forbid, if nethng goes wrong, then provide a SOP with explanations to the reasons given by VO??
Does it make any sense ?
Senior member, please share your experience and opinions.
Much thanks.
