Something I know about background check and medical

after 4 years and more,waiting for my process to be completed(I got my CSQ)I udrestand that processing time does not have any meaning for background check and medicals period,it could be as long as your CSQ (if you got any)expiration date and even more(they renew it)and even medicals could take a long time.the time tables that we see in site:www.cic.gc.ca are just for interview.it seems that there is no help and you should just wait and wait and wiast the time to get your MEDS or BC check result,even you do not have criminal records or any trips more than 6 months to abroad,nothing seems logical and you can not do anything like me but just wait,thats painfull and frustrating.I got my file number for BC check in damascus(syria) about 17 months ago and I am still waiting without reason............!!!!!!!!!?????????????

I can't believe you've been waiting for 17 months... I have a very bad situation. I've been married since 1 year and 1 month, and my wife and I still living at her parents house waiting for those medical tests. We cannot decide on having a baby since we're still waiting... so all our life is on standby for that visa... I don't know what to do, we are heavily lost but we are praying asking God to help us and give us more patience skills. At the end, patience is a virtue. But for how long...

I also would like to ask, did it take you 4 years to get your CSQ? After first applying for our CSQ, it took us 9 month only (to Damascus).
