Somebody knows CEC GAP REACHED?

A sign of cap been reached is that there has been no further AOR in the past few days.

I agree it could one of the possibility. But it's not the only possibility !!! :-X :-\

This came from a person who's application was received at CIO Sydney on October 23rd, NOC 1223. It was returned to them yesterday. Sorry everyone.

Was his money cashed already? I wonder if they charge your credit card, does that mean that your file is within the 8000 cap limit, and you'll get your AOR? Or did they charged a lot of people anyway and they might refund you?

8000 have been capped ? they have stop accept application in Jan 1 2015 , announce this doesn't help now.

But in the snapshot it says, 'Between May 1, 2014 and April 30,2015, a maximum of 8,000 new applications submit for CEC will be considered per 12 month period.’ I thought 8000 applications was for the time between May 1, 2014 to Dec 31, 2014. After that its EE since Jan 2015. I have feeling this letter is fake.

Yes, it is FAKE. Otherwise, CIC has definitely update their web site and don't accept application in December month only. It could be possible for NOC B category only.

As I remember that CIC had accepted application on 1 JAN 2015 also.

Anyone got the return file who submitted after 02 JAN 2015.

Unfortunately you're incorrect. The dates originally announced in the ministerial letter were in fact May 1, 2014 and April 30,2015. CIC later announced the early shut down of the program as of the end of December. The letter is correct. The user who posted them is a very long time member of this forum and works in the immigration field. She wouldn't lie about something like this or make up a letter.

The letter is right. According to some ministerial instructions, they originally planned to accept 8000 applications until April 30, 2015.

I think (and now I'm just speculating), they initially intended to accept applications under both systems in parallel until April as long as the cap's not reached.

Well, I just called Immigration Canada to ask someone about this issue. The man told me that now that there's EE they cannot check if the cap has been reached anymore, but as long as he remembers, in December it wasn't yet (he checked before the new system was officially there). But I don't know if this number was regarding the number of AOR given, CC charged or anything...

Unfortunately he told me that he cannot verify this information about the cap being reached, and that even if your CC has been charged it doesn't mean that your application can't be sent back. They can always give you a refund.

So guys, we just have to wait and see... I'm seriously thinking of starting an EE profile actually, just in case!

i also have been informed by my lawyer that the files are being returned. I am going to meet him tomorrow. I will let you all know what he says.

The letter is not fake. Who would want to fake that???? This is my profession and I certainly would not do that to anyone! I have clients who are devastated by this. I wish it was fake and that I didn't see it with my own eyes. :'(
