Hi all

I have worked as supervisor chemist in India for nearly 5 years and then I have completed my masters degree in chemistry in USA and presently pursuing PhD. would like to apply as skilled worker I am new to this forum and I have few questions.

1. Do I really need a consultant for PR processing, as some of them charging same amount as fee for applying for visa.

2. My wife is on H1 and she is planning to apply for F2 in couple of weeks, should I mention her being in H1 right now.

3. What are the documents I need to have, as I think have most of the documents but I donot know where I may have pay stubs, as I have worked 5 years ago ( but i may few scattered pay slips).

4. Do I need any letter saying exactly what resposibilities were as supervisor chemist.

I would really appreciate any answers

thanks
Vijay

1) I am not using a PR. I think it can be done without one. it really depends on if your case is somewhat difficult for some reason or because your english/french may not be good. but since you worked in the US, your english should be good.
2) Give the current information. I don't they ask for the visa information of anyone but the principle applicant. I presume you are the principle applicant.
3) You don't need any document for Sydney NS, but will need documents at the visa office stage. You should check appendix A, it will have a list of all documents you need. They don't ask for salary slips but might come back to you and ask later.
4) Sure you do, thats the best way to show what you did. If you can't get such a letter, you might have to find a different way to show what you did in your job. I don't know any such way.

I presume you are applying for FSW1.

yep federal skilled worker.

you can apply for your son later as long as he is not accompanying you and is under 22 at the time of the application.

He would still have to go through a medical check when you get your PR (thats my understanding anyway).
you will still have to mention him in your application and i think (icould be wrong) there is a form for non-accompanying members.
