Some questions while filling out the sponsorship forms

Hi,

I have a few questions that came up while my wife and I were filling out her sponsorship application. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Form: Application to Sponsor and Undertaking
Question 1:
If you are found ineligible to sponsor, indicate whether you want...
Ok, so from what I understand there is two options to this one. First, I can choose to withdraw the sponsorship, and they only take $75, but I have no right to appeal the decision. The other option is they keep all my money and I can appeal. Now, already being greatly in debt, Im very apprehensive as to go with the second option. If I was refused and did not appeal, could I apply to sponsor again right away? I mean, I cant see any reason I would get denied, but if I was, and I lost the appeal, I would be out allot of money, and still without my wife. Any advice?

Question 10:
It asks are you a:
Canadian citizen (yes/no)
Permanent Resident (yes/no)

Now, I am a Canadian citizen, so I check yes on the first one. However, since I was born in Canada, what do I put for "Became a citizen on"? Would I put my birth date, or leave it blank?
Also, as a Canadian citizen, do I check yes or no for the permanent resident question, or do I leave it blank?

Form: Sponsorship Evaluation
On the second page, "Details of family members and persons included in undertakings in effect or not yet in effect", I do not have anyone listed. Should the person I am sponsoring be listed on there somewhere?

Form: Sponsor Questionnaire
Question 11:
Are you currently living in Canada?
I check yes, but it asks "since when?"
I was born in Canada, and have always lived here, so do I put my birth date, or leave it blank?

Form: Application for Permanent Residence
Question 12:
How many years of formal education do you have?
What are they asking? Everything from kindergarten to college? Or just high school and college? Or just college?

On the second page, it asks for details of each of the sponsored persons family memebers. It specifically asks for the spouse/common law partner and children. Since I am her spouse and also her sponsor, does she put me on this form? I just says "You must include your spouse ... if applicable, ...". Im confused if she should be putting me on that form or not?

Form: Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire
Question 16:
Did your sponsor have to travel to your country for the marriage?
Now, I was visiting for the summer, so technically I was already there, but technically I "traveled" there to visit. So did I travel to her country for the marriage or not?

Also, for the next part it asks "did someone travel with him/her?"
Does this mean, literally, was there someone in the car with me when I crossed the border? It seems like a silly question. Or is it more general, and does it mean did my family come for the wedding around the same time?

Form: Additional Family Information
Section A
Ok, in section A, it has a row for the spouse/common law partner. Since I am also her sponsor, does she, or does she not fill in my information in this row? Im thinking she does, since if she leaves it blank, it asks her to sign certifying that she does not have a spouse or common law partner.

Lastly, a separate question:
on the document checklist, it says that I should provide proof that I have visited my spouse. Since I am in canada, and she is in the USA, I simply drive across the border to go see her. There for there is no plane/bus tickets, and no passport stamps. I doubt I will even be able to dig up a gas receipt from Virgina, but if I did that would show my name and visa number I think...
Really though, I dont think I can prove I visited her. Will this be an issue?

Thank you SO much for any answers or help. It is greatly appreciated!

If you pick withdraw, unless you overcome the refusal, the application would probably be refused again, taking you back to square one.

Question 10:
It asks are you a:

Permanent Resident (yes/no)

Never leave any blanks, in your case it is your birth date, put N/A in other slots if it is Not Applicable

Form: Sponsorship Evaluation
On the second page, "Details of family members and persons included in undertakings in effect or not yet in effect", I do not have anyone listed. Should the person I am sponsoring be listed on there somewhere?

Your spouse is "not yet in effect"

Form: Sponsor Questionnaire
Question 11:

Birth Date

Form: Application for Permanent Residence
Question 12:
How many years of formal education do you have?

This is for your wife, it from elementary to college

On the second page, it asks for details of each of the sponsored persons family memebers. It specifically asks for the spouse/common law partner and children. Since I am her spouse and also her sponsor, does she put me on this form? I just says "You must include your spouse ... if applicable, ...". Im confused if she should be putting me on that form or not?

No, again she is filling this out, go back read the instructions

Form: Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire

Did your sponsor have to travel to your country for the marriage?

Of course you had to travel to get there, unless you had a "telephone or Proxy marriage"[/color]

Also, for the next part it asks "did someone travel with him/her?"
Does this mean, literally, was there someone in the car with me when I crossed the border? It seems like a silly question. Or is it more general, and does it mean did my family come for the wedding around the same time?

It means did your family or friends travel to the wedding

Form: Additional Family Information
Section A
Ok, in section A, it has a row for the spouse/common law partner. Since I am also her sponsor, does she, or does she not fill in my information in this row? Im thinking she does, since if she leaves it blank, it asks her to sign certifying that she does not have a spouse or common law partner.

She completes it

Might, don't you have pictures of you together

I know she is filling it out, we are just confused if she is supposed to put my information down as her spouse. We are confused because some areas want the spouse's information if they are the sponsor, and others if they arnt the sponsor, and some places want it no matter what.

Even if they didnt travel in the same car or even on the same day as me?

Ahaha, yes of course, that was silly of me. Yep, we have pictures from all visits, just not tickets or stamps.
