some questions about temporary visa

I am a student studying at University of Concordia. Recently, I have a valid study permit. I was applying for temporary visa. The office require me to send the passport on Nov 23, 2017. I used Canada post to send my passport and it told me the passport has been delivered on Nov 24, 2017. I also added a prepaid envelop in with passport. I don't know wether I can get my passport before Dec 22, 2017. Because I have planned to fly to Cuba on Dec 23, 2017.

Anyone can tell me what i can do now? Please help me.

I'm in the same position as you. I submitted mine the same day as yours and I have travel plans on December 20th. I'm freaking out. Apparently, they are delayed.

Oh my god. If the status doesn't change until next week, I think I need to cancel my plan. good luck to us.

I called IRCC now and they told me the processing time is 4 weeks. I'm still praying they can do ours much earlier.
