I think the EE is making CEC extremely incompatible. Let's see how CEC mark usually looks like. Undergrad degree, 20s years old, got 1 year in Canada work exp, CLB10 straight = 444.
444 is the cap for 80% of international student who is trying to apply for PR. If you got master degree + in Canada, you can go for PNP, which is another story.

And, CIC states there will be 23000 spot for CEC.
1/3 of 2015 is gone, and the score is 453, which means, there are only minimal percentage of candidate selected are from CEC.

Is CIC giving up CEC? Or they think people from CEC is not valuable to Canadian society? (which I strongly disagree if so)

So any thought?

Unless the bar drop significantly in the next few month, I dont see much people from CEC will get ITA.....

There are other people who qualify for CEC. ICT, IEC, NAFTA, possibly TFW has >1 year in high-skilled.

But I agree that tying CEC with FSW into the competition is incompatible. CEC was granted more generous requirements than FSW because people in CEC already lives in Canada and therefore have better chance to survive and adapt in Canada than those who has never lived here. That's the whole point of CIC opens CEC program and how they advertise some of the work permit programs (e.g. PGWP)

Program-specific draw? Thats a good thing to know.

Otherwise it is going to be bad for CEC candidates.

I personally only have 365 point right now all because my work experience of 1 year is consist of 2 different job, which will not give me point....I am going to take CELPIP one more time and aim for CLB10 for all 4, so I can get 391, but still too low...

Yes it will! So many draws left this years, it's not even May yet. EE is only 4 months old... There's already been a CEC-specific draw in February btw. One day in the not so distant future, the CRS score will stabilize and we will get a clear picture of what the score required will be. But forum members concluding that the score will not go bellow 450 after only four months of EE and telling CEC-PGWP holders to start packing their bags is ridiculous... I've got 422, and it will climb to 447 in September after being 2 years in my position. I might not have a master degree, but I have Canadian education, perfect English scores, under 29 and employed full-time at a reputable organization, I believe this makes me a great candidate for immigration. With 1 year and 3 months + left on my PGWP, I am sure that by July/27/2016 (Expiry Date), I will either have received ITA or better yet, PR status. The problem is for PGWP holders who's time is running out very soon, wouldn't want to be in their shoes. My advice to anyone is to apply as soon as possible, If I would've applied as soon as I became eligible under CEC last year, my CEC applicaiton would've gotten there before the cap was reached and I wouldn't need to be applying through this EE bullsh*t ::)

They mentioned that could happen. But what that means is they reserve the right to do it. It might not happen after all. We will never know until it happens, just like the draws

The thing is, my work permit is expiring before I can have 1 year experience of my 2nd job. So I will not go above 400...at all...the best I can get is 391, CLB10 for all 4 section from celpip/ielts.

And I need to go back to my country to wait for ITA...

You don't have to complete 1 year on your second job. It's the total experience that counts.

I started working for a company in Sep 2013 and left in May 2014. Then I started working for another company and I'm still employed there. So I have 8 months experience from 1st job and 15 months at 2nd job and I got points for 2 years experience. How many points do you have for work experience now?
