HI .. we sent our app on 27th and received the AOR1 today..so was thinking to try to link the app ..but got some confusion : -

1) we have not got SA yet ..so who should open the gc account .. PA or aponsor .. ?
2)After creating the account to link app who's information should we put into ?
3) for the application num is it same for PA and sponsor or PA will have a diffrent application number when the file get transfferred to the visa office ..

sorry if this question has been asked allready .. i couldnt find ..so want to clarify these things ..

Thanks

Congrats on getting the AOR1! Have you added your info to the appropriate spreadsheet? It's not necessary but it helps others get a sense of the current speed of applications through the system.

Either PA or Sponsor (or both) can open a GC account. However, you can only link your application to one of the accounts -- if you link it to a second account it will unlink from the first. I'm not sure if there are different application numbers, to be honest

The GC stuff can be a bit confusing. I'm not sure I understand it fully and it seems to be somewhat inconsistent. I was able to link my wife's application, but not my Sponsorship. My sponsorship was available via the Check Your Application Status on the CIC website, though. Even linking the application can be tricky, but search around here as there's good instructions on how to maximize your chance of success.

I'm the sponsor and I linked the application to my GC account as I'm online most of the day and better able to monitor it than my wife, so do whatever makes sense for your situation.

My SA letter showed up in my GMail Junk folder a day or two after I was able to link my application so you can either wait for the SA letter or just try to link every day (or check via CIC website).

I don't know about the document request scenario so will not comment on it.

I can't comment on the PCC request as my situation is different.
