Good Day to all,
First I am new to this forum, and asking for some advise. I am a new permentent resident got my card about four months ago under the family spouce sponsorship. My husband sponsored my son and I within Canada and recently got our pr cards as mentioned earlier. Now we might be getting a divorce as things aren't going well between us :( Wanted to know since my son and are are now pr
can my husband cancel our pr status since its only four months. And if divorce how do I maintain my self financially since i dont work for alot of money but he has an ok job. Please advise me thank you very much! I remember he got a letter from immigration during the sponsorship that he would be responsible for us for three years. But just want to know where I stand and weather he can do anything with my status since i am already a pr.Thanks again

Morning,it's a done,he cannot cancell it,but you should find a job firtst,and please don't go
on welfare because you will make it bad for him,and he will have to paid back every cent.
Have a good day

So what you are telling me he cant do anything about my status right it is done. I have a job but it doesnt pay much, the last thing i would want to do is to go on welfare. But if he doesnt want to assist me what can i do
He should assist for the cost of raising your son, but you, not him, should be responsible for your own self always. Maybe you can look at upgrading your skills, I know there's a lot of opportunities to do that for free or at low cost, especially for new arrivals to the country.
