Refugees who have no work permits can apply for income assistance from their relevant province's social assistance department. For example, in case your province is BC, you need to complete online assessment and then visit their nearest office. They will evaluate your financial status and start paying you a monthly income assistance.

Normally a couple without children can approximately get $850.00 per month. In case of any disability or medical problems, it might be increased accordingly. If someone have children, each child can add some more dollars to the monthly assistance.

WorkBC has given bus passes or tickets to search for jobs. Any one who is living in Canada and looking for work can get help from their relevant provincial departments.

They have helped even by paying International Education Evalutions to get equalancy reports for general employment and or education.
