Can someone please tell me what happens if someone sells/sold their pr card, and gets a new one by saying they "lost" it?

MSP2YYZ said:I can see it now, guy stops you on the corner, opens coat with lots of little pockets inside..."psst, buddy, you wanna check out the merchandise? Best PR cards in town!" ROFL!
Leon said:If it can be proven that they sold it, which should be easy as they seem to be telling all their friends about it, they could be in trouble for making false statements to immigration and for assisting people who are trying to get into Canada illegally.
As for what the buyer is planning to do with it, I am sure Canada immigration will flag the card in the system as soon as it is reported as lost. That means they would not be able to travel with it. It is however possible that an illegal immigrant could use the card inside Canada in order to get a drivers license and health care as they might not be linked with the system of immigration. It is also possible that the buyer wants it because they are planning to try to make copies.
How much did they get for the card anyway?

And what does the buyer do -- get plastic surgery to look like the photo on the PR card?

I suppose if you are trying to sell a PR card, you would have to sell it to someone who looks at least a bit like the photo.

(ba da dum!!)
