My spouse and I are Indian citizens living in USA with our US citizen kid. Her US passport is expiring in Jan and we all have a COPR valid until Oct end. We plan to do softlanding in Sep. While our passports are valid for several more years, our kid's passport would expire within 4 months of our soft landing.

My question is can we do soft landing with USA passport that is about to expire within 6 months? If no, do we need another CoPR if apply for new passport for our daughter right now?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bumping the thread again in case someone can help answer this question. I'd be really grateful.

I think you should be able to do so. The passport expiry clause is usually for visitors. As a PR it should be ok IMO.

You can, it will not be a problem at all.
