Soft Landing - Passport expiry within 6 months with Valid CoPR and Canada visa

Hello Friends,

My current passport expires in December (Less than 6 months validity from Now). I live in USA

My CoPR expiry is in November

Can I apply for a New passport and then do the Soft-Landing from US to Canada ? even though the CoPR and Visa contains my current passport info ?

Please suggest.

If you are doing soft landing, better to do it before either of the current docs expires.
