Soft landing from USA via Road

Hi.. if we are not supposed to tell them that we are soft landing, what should we say when asked about plans of moving to Canada? I am planning to do soft landing.. just visit CBSA at the border, complete landing and return back to US. I presume there is no option to say otherwise.

I was very open about soft landing. I told CBSA agents that I am turning around and returning to USA after finishing Immigration formalities and they were fine with it.

Ask them politely if they can send it to your friend's address. If not, then ask them for IMM 5456B.

After returning to USA wait for update in eCAS confirming your landing. After eCAS update, Fill up 5456B and fax it. Simultaneously use below link to update address:

Go for cheapest option. Remember you are becoming PR, and not any visa, so you are not at the mercy of any officer if you carry correct documents.
