So sad! I am denied of study permit. Could you help?

My study permit/visa was just denied. I’d like to seek advice from you guys on how to deal with it. Really appreciate your suggestions and comments.

I am planning to submit a “request for reconsideration letter” to visa office. In the letter, I will mention that I may apply for immigration to US with the help of my daughter after my graduate study. Will this information be helpful?

If I am refused again, shall I re-apply study permit or submit appeal with the help of a lawyer ?

Here is my relevant information:
Refusal Reasons:
You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:
--purpose of visit
--your current employment situation

Age: 54
Marriage: having divorced for 10 years
Children: one daughter was born in US in 1998. She is staying with my ex in US
Education: Got first master degree in US in 2003,
Planned Study: to get a new master degree in a public university in Canada.(got admission letter)
Employment: Lead consultant contract was terminated in January, 2014
Financial: over $70k in bank and have bank statement for the past 12 months(online submission only required 4 months, so 6 months of statements were submitted and over $70K worth in local currency
Asset: Savings and money market fund. No real estate property under my name
Travel History: travelled to US, Italy 5 years ago
Past Visa Refusal: US, Italy, Canada Federal Skilled Worker Immigration( Jan, 2012)
Submitted Document Online: IMM1294, IMM5257 schedule1(for visa), IMM5645(Family Info), Financial Support Docs, IMM5753E(Request for Medical Exam), Passport, Photo, Admission Letter, Police Certificate, General Education/Employment Form

Personally think your current unemployment status has made the visa officers that you don't have any scope in your own country and once you reach canada you won't come back!
Adding to that
Your visa refusal by Canada for federal skilled category!
Your age
At 54 years it does not make any sense to go abroad for education purpose!

I recommend you re-applying will lead to visa failure only.!So better consult a visa expert to review your profile
I recommend you to have an ****employment in china in order to make your profile strong,
Have strong ties with your country *** like property docs etc

Don't talk about immigrating to U.S using your daughter's citizenship * * * * this will create a bad impression on you that **** you do not want to come back china*** Better state that you would like to work in China for some company after a qualifying degree from canada ! This might actually help that you are genuine student!

If you mention this you'll be guaranteed another refusal.

I think you really have no chance of being approved based on your age, assets (they really aren't that high), lack of employment, and previous application for the FSW program. It's very clear you have low ties to your home country and are very interested in coming to Canada long term (immigrating).

If you really want to come to Canada, you should be focusing on applying to immigrate. Forget about the student visa route. CIC knows you're not a genuine student.

Unless you apply for PHD, your chances are next to nil. Even with Phd application you apparently have number of issues which would obstruct for your visa application. You should apply for phd / masters in USA ideally for MBA you have much better chance being considered there.

Hello James, sorry to hear that you've been refused. By the way, did you submit paper application or an online application, and how long did it take before you got the outcome of the decision?

You cannot appeal a rejection. Once a case is rejected it is closed and no further processing/questions/clarifications are answered by the visa office. Even if you appeal they will not answer since by law there is no process of appeal on an application that has been closed.

You can appeal in the court in Canada and that will only allow you to have your file assessed by another visa officer and not the one who rejected you the first time where possible. So after going through hiring a lawyer in canada and fighting a case and provided you win you'll only be allowed to have your application reviewed by some other officer.

Did you have an FSW application rejected according to raj's post? If that's correct- you now want to apply for a study permit which clearly indicates you are desperate to enter Canada. It will ruin your credibility as your intention is to immigrate to canada (in the VO's eyes). If you did not apply for an FSW earlier and your study permit was rejected then you need to understand that you are 54 and getting a second masters degree at this age is shady as well. So either way it's complicated.

Apply for some other course in USA and get a student visa for the US. Your daughter's citizenship will help you in US visa purpose.

When I say re-assess what it means is that you'll need to file a new application and the new application will be assessed by some other VO. Your old application will not be re-assessed and you'll have to apply again after winning a case in the court in Canada based upon your old application's denial.

I am kinda worried bec i never have any work experience since i was only a housewife since i graduated 2 years ago, i already have 3 kids. I am registered nurse btw. Thats why i am planning to study again for future employment purposes in my home country.
