SNIP work permit support letter extension

I was nominated in March 2016 and got two letters “Confirmation of SNIP Nomination” and “SNIP Work permit support letter”.

I already applied for permanent residency (PR) and got AOR.

Currently my company is in process to transfer my current job (India) to Regina and internal process might take some time and I expect my “SNIP Work permit support letter” may get expire in September by the time I get offer letter.

Not sure, if would be able to apply for temporary work permit along with expired “SNIP Work permit support letter” and permanent residency AOR letter.

OR I should apply for SNIP extension?

Hi rsx. You will be able to apply for work permit. But bear in mind that CIC is often not very keen to assign a WP specially if there is a PR application is in place at the same time. However this is what I heard from experts, not that I am one.
