Well my question was not of how to start a business but the question was which small scale business do flourish better in canada !!!!!!!

Although it really depends on the province, one common aspect is the severe winter months all through out Canada. This prompts me to think any business that sells Canadian goose jackets,insulated winter wear,thermal underclothing,fishing equipment and accessories should do well.

Convenience store,gas stations,restaurants are all tried and tested business models and not to mention that these businesses are already located everywhere.

I am personally inclined towards the outdoor equipment, winter and sports jackets and fishing gear business especially if I am located on the North west.

PS: I am not in anyway saying that these businesses are not already there. I am just pointing you to profitable niches.

I also heard that certain service franchise & Mass data entry businesses are doing good.
