Slow in reading test...IELTS in few days

Hi,
Going to take IELTS for the second time only to improve my reading from 5.5 to 6. I do alot of practice but I always finish each section after 30 min not 20 !! if I speed up to finish in 20 min I get alot of mistakes like 17~21 from 40!!

I feel that the reading exam is a speed test not a language test....please advise how to improve my speed.

First of all have a look at the questions.... a quick look. So that you have an idea what sort of questions are asked.

Then have those points in your mind that you just read in the questions and try to read fast as if you are just scanning. You will certainly catch hold of few of the points that you read in questions. Don't read each n every line in detail. This way you would end up wasting ur time.

I am able to finish one section in 20-22 mins most of the time. Don't know what to expect on the D-day. ???

Thanks Manpreet_rieit but you finish a section in 20-22 seconds ??!!!!!!! how you do that ? or you mean minutes ?
