After submitting EOI my point is showing 426.But when I have calculated my point was 73 for MPNP.I cannot understand this.even any person has a close relative, Ph.D. degree and 5 years job experience he can get 575 at best. Then how can draw show 700 is the lowest to apply as skilled worker overseas? can anyone explain it ?
same question, my score is 544 and I don't know how can they show the draw result at 600 or more

Hi guys, not sure if this is a right place but i'm asking for a friend. My friend, her husband, their baby and her brother-in-law are thinking to move to canada. They asked me about this but i'm not sure which route that they can take (i confused myself with PNP and express entry)

The husband has no degree - planning to go to college in canada
The wife probably will work part time job
The brother in law has bachelor degree - planning to go back for master

From what i read, you need a letter from your employer to be eligible for MPNP? Yes you do, this is easy to get as long as you're in the province and work for the employer full time for first 6 months continuously, then you can apply for MPNP after (this is only applicable if you are already in the province).

What if, they come here on student permit, finish school, get a work permit and get a job. Will they eligible to apply? Yes they will be. See above for answer

Also they have me as friend in MB but i can't sponsor them. Can they apply without sponsor? As long as they are in the province, they do not need to have a sponsor, they will get automatic 500 points for living and schooling in the province. All they have to do is complete their education, get a full time job after school and apply after 6 months

Any other suggestion? My suggestion will be for your friend's husband to apply for student visa, if he's approved, his wife will qualify to apply for an open work permit as she is accompanying him. Then she can work to support the family while the husband goes to school or vice versa. Regarding the brother in-law, he's gonna have to apply for his student visa alone.

Thanks a lot!

**Edit: They asked an agent and the agent only able to help them with big cities (eg:Toronto). I wonder if it's easier to get PR in MB than ON or BC? Manitoba is one of the easiest provinces to get PR

Also, did you guys using agent or lawyer or do everything yourself?
Most people i know did it all themselves with the help of professionals. Some may have used an agent/lawyer.

HOPE THIS HELPS...

Please for those of us who already submitted expression of interest, how do I access my score? I received an acknowledgement that I've submitted expression of interest, but I didn't see where my score was stated. Please, help me.
You need login to your profile, the go to submit and review , then Submit EOI-SW, and finally click on Preview EOI-SW. A PDF file will open up and it will show the full details of your EOI and at the last page it will show your score break down.

Need help
Today my brother in law got mpnp LAA..
But when he entered hi EOI
He answered "NO"to following questions

Have u or your spouse ever applied to any PNP or federal immigration program with an intended destination outside Manitoba?

But he never applied any PNP but he applied TWO times Visitor Visa for Toronto which was Refused..
He thought Visitor Visa is not a immigration program that why he answered "NO" to above question

My concern is what should the Answer to above question ?
He should decline or contact to MPNP ?

The question is for any "immigration" programs. Visitor Visa is considered as a "Temporary Resident" visa and not an "immigrant" visa. So he never committed misrepresentation on his EOI. He is alright to proceed with full application. Good Luck !

I got an ITA in the Dec 2018 draw of the MPNP, however, my last work experience was in 2015 up to which time I had 2 years experience which I entered into the EOI for the draw in the first place.

Do I have to worry this experience is not 'recent' or current enough and that my application will be turned down as a result? Someone told me my experience claim has to be recent, else I'll be disqualified, how true is this.

They asked for experience within the last 5 years right, am I missing anything.

However after submitting his EOI he got

Is there really a way to improve this. We dont have any family relatives in Manitoba.

Unfortunately, there is no way to improve your husband's score , the efforts will be useless / waste of time .

Mpnp is especially for people who have close relatives, as it gives you 200 points.

Unless your husband worked in Manitoba and have a job offer. Your chances are zero percent.

I would suggest you to try Morden , it's another city in Manitoba with its own program..

you or your husband can try to study in Manitoba in order to gain more points.

If she have spare money then she can afford to waste money by applying for student visa .. as I'm sure their age is 32+ with study Gap,

Chances of student visa of Canada are very slim.. they are rejecting a lot of people ..

Best of luck
