skilled worker processing times in egypt

I sent my application on may 9th 2014. I got the PER 2 days ago. by this reate. the whole process may take around a year
If you plan to do it this year (Before 2014 ends) you could be looking at 12-18 months since date of submission. but that timeline can be extended or reduced greatly depending on every applicant's specific case. i personally know someone who's process took 8 months. his application was very simple and small. straight forward. on the other hand if there are so many details in the application, many background checks required, many documents evaluated, it could take well beyond 30-40 months!
If your decide to wait to 2015, the FSW will be completely replaced by something called "Express Entry Program". and judging by its name, this could mean less processing time. but there's ever so little certifiable information available on it yet. we could be looking at a drastic or rather simple change of rules and conditions. but like i said, noone knows for sure yet you could research more and find out.

I got my visa on April 6th. So the whole process took exactly 11 months.
my application was processed by Ottawa office. not Egypt, I do not know why?
