Hi - applied in May 08 for PR of Canada as skilled worker. No word back yet regarding even receipt of my application. My job is currently listed as "in demand" on the NOC list, should my application be fast tracked because of this?

I dont know, In my case I am a holding a post graduation degree from UK in Quality Management Systems and my wife is also a holder of masters degree.Presently I am woking in the capacity of QHSE Manager in an massive british construction firm based in Dubai.

I dont know whether my profession is in demand, but i just applied on my gut feeling that It might be, If its is not then I intend to resubmit my application by making my wife as a principle applicant as she is a holder of pharmacist degree.

what do you suggest??

regards,
syed

I'm going by the current NOC list of occupations listed on the CIC website ?? I've several post-graduate qualifications in sales/marketing and according to the self-assessment have sufficient points to gain entry as skilled federal worker. Just wondering about the backlog pre-Feb 2008, and whether this is having an effect on the acknowledgement of simplified applications in the first instance? I'm sure I read somewhere that they aim to acknowledge receipt of application within 30 days, and thereafter who knows...?? More info if anyone has it would be great. Thanks.
