Skilled Worker on closed work permit being terminated

How did you apply for PR? Termination doesn't necessarily impact the PR process.

I applied true nominations PNP and it on process not much left .
Now I applied CWP not yet approved.
My question is can I work now or I have to wait for the permit to be approved!!?
What if the work permit refused ?? What will be the status of my application !!
