Hi Guys ,

I am a business system analyst by profession. What has happened in my case that during last 10 years only one employer has hired me as "business system analyst" (title ) all other have hired me as system designer ,IT support officers, System Support etc,(all the jobs have same JD as business system analyst in my case). All these jobs were in Pakistan,And as you know when you go for job ,people hire you for the post they name according to their own rules so in my case even though i did same job but with so much different titles.

Now when i am process of filing my immigration to Canada as business system analyst , I have 4 experience letters and appointment letters with various titles other then business system analyst but with job description more or less what a business system analyst is.

Do you think CIC will accept my case as business analyst ? or Job title will matter to them as well.

Here I can give you my sister's reference ,when she applied as professor ,her consultant told her to present only that job experience in which she was a professor. All the other related experience letter like ,lecturer, assisstant professor ,he discarded them.

So What am I suppose to do.

My post might sound confusing to you but I am really very worried. What will CIC do when they find that I have different Job titles.I know I can always defend my job description as same but will the visa officer go in this detail or would just reject my case looking at titles ??

Best Regards

Two points i have for you, subject to confirmation from senior members, but this is my understanding of the process based on the different research i have made:

1- what matters the most is the job description and tasks and duties you will include. If the job description matches and very close to what is mentioned in the NOC website you should be good do go. Just make sure you use the key words, assuming that they are relevant to your current job, to make it easy to evaluate your job as a business analyst.

2- If you meet the 67 points with the 4 years experience you have, including the other job experiences, if CIC consider them to be not relevant, they should not impact the approval process on your application.

I am not claiming expertise in the subject, but thats what i did in my application i submitted last week. I hope one of the seniors can comment on that for you as well.

Best of luck.
