Hi,

I have applied for PR under skilled workder category back in september 26,2009. I am on a post graduate work permit within Canada. I have only 5 months left on my work permit. So i am in a tight situation.

Its been over 18 months and every time i contact Buffalo office, only reply i get is My application is in process. No time line can be provided. As per immigration website the processing time are given for the Buffalo office is 17 months based on complete application package.

I have completed my medical on my own on November 22, 2011 and sent it for the consideration. (I havent recieved any letter regarding medical)

Any idea what they mean by complete application package? Any one else on the same boat with me? please share your updates? I dont seem to understand what may have gone wrong or this kind of time is usual?

Any responce on this is much appreciated!!

My Time Lines are:

Recieved by CIO, Sydney, NS: September 26, 2009
Acknowledgement Letter from CIO: November 22, 2009
File transferred to the Buffalo office: November 27, 2009
Acknowledgement Letter from Buffalo office: December 2, 2009
Buffalo office started processing: July 22, 2010

there is no news after....

"I have completed my medical on my own on November 22, 2011 and sent it for the consideration. (I havent recieved any letter regarding medical)" - it is NO use to complete medical on your own. When they send you medical forms you would have to do it again.
I am sorry, there is no way to push your application in the process. Any time frames are now irrelevant as there are big changes (the one we could see was last year list 29). Nobody can give any concrete answer about the time. Maybe only the person who holds your file. But there is no way you can make that person tell you.
So, just go on with your life. Don't worry, everything will be fine. The happiness will come by itself.

Thanks dude. I am not worried; I rather say I am trying to find a reasonable cause why it is this late. A friend of mine who applied 2 months before me, got his immigration back in october 2010. It took exactly 14 months to process in Buffalo where as mine is almost 18 month...quiet interesting...Thanks for your reply though!!

There are many things in CAN IMM you couldn't be able to figure out...It does not run on anticipation and reasoning but they have their own style and ways...Its also difficult to match the time line with others... One of my friends applied with me under same NOC got visa in 9 months, already made landing 6 months ago while I am still waiting for PPR...in 22 months!! So there is many things very interesting but probably no way you can best explain the reason behind to yourself.... At the end of day its all about luck... the best way to console own self!!!

Thanks Fariza,

another concern i wanted to address, if anyone can help..

my last update on ECAS file was "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on July 22, 2010". any idea what does it mean? anyone?

Much appreciated!

If your e.cas is in process, then you still have sometime to go, but the good thing is your file is in process. Since you are already in Canada, you can order your caip notes and see what is delaying your file and your caip notes will also help you in case you are called for an interview, even though nobody likes to be called , but at times it happens.

I am also in the same boat like you. Our visa offices are among the slowest , so we have to wait for long time. I had ordered my Caip notes and have some reasons why my case has long been delayed.

It is only 5 dollars for those in Canada.

Hi Canadaforall,

Thanks dude. Do you have idea where is toronto i can go to seek for caips note? I was googling, lot of name came up. however, i am not confident enough to use those as authentic source. Also it says caips notes might take 6-8 weeks.

Any information on ordering caips note from toronto would be much appreciated.

Thanks
