Hi,

Do we need to provide the reference letters for 3 years only for the qualifying jobs (Skilled work) like NOC 0,A or B. Or do we need to have letters from every employer even if it was not skilled work? And what if worked for a week for an employer? And what if the employer is not giving a letter?

Thank you.

Waiting for a reply from senior members here.

Letters from every employer for skilled and unskilled work in the last 3 years, regardless of the length of employment. If you can't get the letter, get your Record of Employment(ROE) from Service Canada, include paystubs, job offer letter/contract letter, an explanation why you could not get the letter and then write your main duties and responsibilities. It's really important that you get this letter for jobs you are using to claim CEC experience as well as a business card for someone CIC can contact.

Thanks for your reply senior. I understand one more thing i wanted to ask is if i was working 40 hours week then i worked 33.5 hours per week and then again 40 hours. In this case can i count 40 hours for the weeks i worked or it cannot be more than 37.5 hours in a week.
How do i calculate my hours please help! For the weeks i worked 40 hours i can count 40 or 37.5 as for some monts it was 33.75. Thank you once again.

Full-time according to CIC is 37.5hrs, so the weeks you worked 40hrs will be counted as 37.5hrs/week. Then you can add the hours and see if you meet 1950hrs(after at least 12 months of employment for graduate stream) or 3900hrs(after at least 24 months of employment for foreign worker stream) under CEC.

Thanks alot for a quick reply. One last question from me does the wage rate matter for cec?
