HELLO
I MADE AN INQUIRY IN OFFICE AFTER PROCESSING TIME IS OVER FOR FAMILY CASES (14.2 MONTHS)
RESPOSE FROM OFFICE ----
That is an average processing time, some files are much longer, some shorter, thus an average is posted. Your file is in process.
The Family Referral category nominations are limited in numbers by the Federal Government and therefore files with a Skilled Worker job attached will be processed as a priority. The Federal Government wants the provincial nominee programs to be attached to the labour market needs of the provinces, rather than duplicating the program available through the Federal stream, for families. If a file has settlement funds or a low skilled job it will remain in the SINP inventory for an undetermined time. The applicant may wish to use the option to switch their existing file to a Skilled job offer based on the criteria in effect since May 1/12 and the file would be pulled from the waiting queue and processed sooner.
