When is your work permit expiring? If we get nominated and our work permit expires, is there someway we can extend it?

when you get your nomination you get a work permit support letter from sinp .
then you can extent it for 2 years.
when did you apply ? and got any update? what about your timeline?

I am wayy behind you brother.. I applied 2 months ago so it will take sometime. So, once we get nominated we get another extension of 2 years for work permit. Thats great!! How long do you think it will take to get nominated? and once you apply for federal how long will the process take?

Sept 2011 and yours? I asked the SINP people and they said there is no such thing as an information package to extend your work permit? When is your work permit expiring and are you sure that we can extend the work permit?

You have any idea how long is it taking to get the nomination certificate and then to get the PPR?

Hi,

I'm an Italian professional coming to Toronto to attend a one year postgraduate course and I would like to apply for a work permit after graduation.
My plan of course is to remain in Canada and I'm getting more information about the Provincial Nominee program, especially after the new changes of immigration.

Can you help me understand something more about it?

First question: how did you find a company willing to offer you a permanent job? Was that easy? I though almost impossible.. What's your field?

Second: Is it easy for a job offer to be approved for this program? or Immigration makes problem and takes into consideration only difficult job to find in Canada?

Here is the Ontario PNP website: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/index.htm You should be able to find all the information you need on there. Look at the international student category as well as foreign workers. If you are on a work permit and working for an employer and they make you a job offer, the PNP will normally not give you any problems. They may even help you after you are nominated to let you extend your work permit without the need for a labour market opinion.

my timeline for sinp student category.
applied on 25 march 2010 and got sinp approval on 25 june 2010..
i got work permit extention letter as well....................

Hey jot, congrats man.. so its taking 3 months for the approval. Can you specify more about the work permit extension. How long can it be extended and can we just apply through mail or need to go to the border!
