Need a advise against serious critical matters:
One of my friend fallen ban by IRRC start from September/2019 to August, 2024=5 years.
Now friends spouse want to apply or submit application in SINP-OID-OASIS for ITA as a HR Officer next November or December, 2023.
Concern is ..Main applicant spouse have a BAN till August, 2024 as PR applicant earlier.
need advice that : is there have any rejection chance from SINP-OID-OASIS for ITA as a HR Officer of main application for causes of spouse ban till august, 2024 if documents submit in OASIS ACCOUNT for ITA in next November or December, 2023. because of 8 month ban still of spouse.

Other way : Is it better to apply for SINP for ITA by main applicant after spouse ban period end as it finished in next august, 2024.

Actually have any law that if spouse have ban which is just 8 month still SINP reject for ITA of main fresh applicant?

Please advice -
Since your friend is banned, your spouse is banned. No sense in applying until ban is over. SINP will notice the ban in their background checks.

Hello Everyone,

I need your advice and wanted to know that once we submit the application after receiving ITA, can we go for passport updation since my spouse name isn't mentioned. Will there be any concerns?

Hello,

Can anyone please help clarify.

Wife is the principal applicant, and husband is the cousin of the person who is living in Saskatchewan.

Does that qualify for close relatives under in-laws of the same relationships?

First cousin lives in Saskatchewan of the husband? If so yes.

Hello!

No, a cousin is not considered a close relative under the in-laws of the same relationship category for Canada immigration. Close relatives under this category include:
  • Spouses
  • Common-law partners
  • Dependent children
  • Parents
  • Grandparents
  • Siblings
If the husband is the cousin of the person who is living in Saskatchewan, then he would be considered a distant relative. However, he may still be eligible to immigrate to Canada under another category, such as the Skilled Worker Program or the Family Class Sponsorship Program.

The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program) is a provincial immigration program that allows Saskatchewan to nominate skilled workers and their families for permanent residence in Canada. The SINP does not have a category for in-laws of the same relationship, so the husband would not be eligible to immigrate under this program.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Raptor 33,

under the sinp word definition, a close relative was defined below:

Close Relative - A parent, sister or brother, aunt or uncle, niece or nephew, first cousin, grandparent and step-family members or in-laws of the same relationships.

You are correct. The SINP definition of a close relative includes cousins. However, the in-laws of the same relationship category only includes spouses, common-law partners, and dependent children.

Therefore, the husband would not be eligible to immigrate to Canada under the SINP in-laws of the same relationship category, even though he is a cousin of the person who is living in Saskatchewan.

I hope this clarifies things.

Hello,

This is for the SINP EE route, to claim the 20 point for close relatives in Saskatchewan. Does that work? Thanks for clarifying.
