Hi All

I need expert help please.
My brother applied for visitor visa in 2016 which was refused (In application form, under employment details my brother added only his government job (Senior Assistant - he does payroll related responsibilities). which is full time, he also has a second job (Junior Financial analyst, which is also full time which he didn't mention in his application since he doesn't have any bank details information from that salary (this was a cash salary job. he has pay slips but no proof in bank for that income)

Hi private job is in OID list but his government job is not in list. We are just wondering can he add his private job information now and if he does, how does it effect his application and all.

I thank you guys in advance for all the input you guys will add.

Thanks

Syrus

Any job must not only be on the SINP list of 'in demand' occupations but must be full time and supported by an Employer Reference Letter in order to qualify for credit. So, with one year experience in the private job, and a letter from the employer that meets the requirements, this experience will qualify.

Note that the requirement is for at least one year of experience in one of the 'in demand' occupations, and so, if one scores at least 60 points on the qualifications grid for the SINP and one year of full time experience, they will be eligible to apply once the OID opens. One consideration is that the occupation must be on the list of 'in demand' occupations at the time of application. The most recent intake on August 9 came with it yet another change to the occupation list, and that was on the heels of a change back in May 2017 where the ever-popular NOC 2171 was eliminated, among others.

Thanks for reply

I might be confused here but going to add details

My brother working in Government Job(Senior Assistant - he does payroll related responsibilities) falls under NOC: B since 1997
Second job which he didn't mention in his visitor visa application he started as Junior Financial Analyst in 2014 as part time but this became full time in 2016 and he quite his government job.

Now my question is if he applies under OID (as per your reply), he has 2 years of part time and over 1.5 years full time experience as Finance analyst.

Will he get points of his previous job? which does not fall under OID?

means will he only get points for new job or will he get points for both of his jobs?

1997 - 2015 Dec he worked in Govt job which is under NOC B
2014-2016 : part time finance analyst
2016 jan untill now or when we apply may be in jan 2018: 2 years Finance analysts which is in OID.

2 years of finance analyst makes him eligible for OID and with all the years of experience we calculated his points are 63.

so you are saying they will not only consider his 2 years point but his all 20 years experience points will be considered?

Thanks

Based on the circumstances you wrote only the two years of full-time experience in the 'in demand' occupation will be counted for the purposes of computing the number of points on their grid. Part time experience and experience in occupations that are not on their list do not count at all for purposes of tabulating points under their grid.
