Hi Manvirr,

Thank you very much.

I received email only from SINP. It had links in it to download the nomination letter and what's next letter. I am clear what's next but my query was, should I wait for Express Entry SINP top open and apply through it or I should go ahead with paper based application with OID?

Because the processing time for OID is 16 months whereas Express Entry takes 6 months max to process. That is the main confusion.

Regards,
Parth
Ahh.ok. But I think with SINP nomination, you can only apply for paper based application.

I am pretty sure they are not picking applications based on first cum first serve basis. I think it's based on the skill/occupation. Mine starts with 11082 and It's in "in Process" since Nov 11.

Right! I also think so... I have seen 1107*** people waiting and 1108*** people got invitation... Might be , they pick the NOC then First come first serve..

So, what's your timeline? I got my In process around Oct 26, 2016 and after that on Nov 15, 2016 they changed my funds conversion date and after few hours (may be their day closing time) I got my nomination which I saw in the morning when I woke up.

Share your timeline if you can!

And yes, best of luck.

Hi Manvirr,

Yes, I am aware about it. I have started preparing for the same. But, I thought if Express entry could be faster then I would wait for SINP top open for Express entry and I re-apply for nomination using Express entry and then go ahead.

But my agent suggested me that if I got a nomination already then it may impact negatively and they may reject my another nomination request.

So, going ahead with paper based application.

Hope for the best!

Parth

What is "paper based application" ? Is it something that we have to go consulate and apply instead of online ?

Thanks.

Thanks.

if you applied for SINP OID its paperbase.. after nomination you will submit your application to CIC thru courier... while SINP EE is thru online.

manu.ieee,

Yes. In OID, we cannot apply online via Express Entry. It's a separate process where we have to prepare all the forms from Application package from CIC and along with that, we have to attach our personal documents mentioned in their checklist.

And finally, after completion, we need to send it to Sydney, Nova Scotia office to process it further. So, it is a manual paper based application and it's processing time is 16 Months (official as per CIC website) compared to 6 months of Express entry.

I hope this clarifies your doubts.

Thanks,
Parth
