I have applied on 23rd Sep and my status is changed to "In Process" after about 50 days. Now waiting for next move...

Yes ECA is required.

Yes ECA is required.

ECA isn't required for Occupation in demand category. It is mandatory for Express Entry but not for Occupation in Demand.
However, you can include your ECA to make your case strong but it is optional.
