No. You can't apply for SINP.
Check your eligibility for QSW.
I have to mention that I am having Project Management experience for construction management of Telecom Infrastructure projects, Building, Hotel and resorts construction works and I am also about to appear in the PMP exams. Like I said, working as per the NOC description outlines the job duties....

The only issue is that there is no designation by the title "Planning Engineer - Constructions" but only Construction Manager" in Canada while in GCC we are given the title Planning Engineers as we Plan, organise and execute the full project from start till finish and report to Deputy Project Directors or any other Senior Project Managers.

Dear Members,

I'm creating SINP new EOI and need some advice from group members on selecting appropriate NOC code and work exp points:

(My Education is related to NOC code (Bachelor of computer applications and Masters in business administration - Information Technology)
Example: I have 7 yrs of experience in NOC code : 2171 (Information system Analyst) however my current job title (1.5 yrs) is related to NOC: 0213 (IT Manager) and my day to day tasks covers more than 50% of job responsibilities related to NOC 2171.
0213 is managerial position and natural career progression from 2171.

Employment History:
Title:
IT Manager (Job responsibilities related to both NOC 0213 & 2171) Start Date: 15th May 2018 End Date: Current Employment
Title: System Analyst (Job responsibilities related to 2171) Start Date:11th NOV 2013 End Date: 10th May 2018
Title: IT Consultant (Job responsibilities related to 2171) Start Date: 31st March 2011 End Date: 31st Oct 2013

Is it possible to claim points for two different NOC codes if they are closely related to each other? My EE profile contains both the NOC codes (0213 & 2171).

Also help me calculate total numbers of points for Work Experience.

Greatly appreciate your time,
Thank you,
JM

Dear members,

I would like to ask for your advice about the calculation of skilled work experience.

1. In recent 5 years, I worked as part-time job (19.5hr per week) for 2 years and full-time job (39hr per week) for 3 years. Can it be counted as totally 4 years of work experience, i.e. getting 8 marks?

2.If I apply SINP in December 2019, is 10-year work experience counted from the application date (i.e.12/2009-11/2019) or date of receiving invitation in the future? Since I am working as a part-time job at present, I worry the points of work experience will be further deducted.

Thank you very much for answering my questions.

You can try.
Actually SINP is very strict about Education qualification and Job experience match.
Best of luck.

Dear Ashu,

Thanks for your reply.

What about EE profile NOC codes - I have currently selected 0213 (IT Manager) - for current job and 2171 for previous experience (Should I change NOC in EE as well).

Also, the work experience is counted till EOI or application submission date?

And my total work experience is 8.9 yrs till end of november. So can I claim 14 points for 9 yrs since this will increase my total to 67 points.

Thanks again for your time,
JM

Create your EOI now with 67 points and update it after 15 days.
Then enjoy

@ashuindian and others.

I saw how you provide input to people's question on SINP forum.I am in a dilemma on crossing NOC.
I have a BSc in Computer Engineering and also a 2 year Diploma in Computer Science.I have WES to demonstrate this.
My work experience cut across NOCs 2171,2282 & 2281.
I am also awaiting my CIPS licence.
I recently saw a disturbing remark on SINP license requirement that "Computer Science Engineering programs will not be considered for 2173,2174,2175" though I'm not applying for any of those NOCs, yet I am worried coz I studied "an Engineering course" which requires a APEGS licence.
I have never practice as a computer engineer, my work is around 2171,2281 & 2282 and I can get work reference letter to support those NOCs.I am in the EE pool and have 66 points on EOI with 2171.My qtn are as follows
(1)2281 & 2282 are constant on the list of those being invited for SINP while 2171 was not in the past two list of invited NOCs, .How was ur experience using 2282(ur academic background, did u submit any licence)
(2) What do you think about me studying Computer Engineering and using 2282/2281(I am thinking of changing to 2282 or 2281.
(3)Any other advice pls

Good day,

I am about completing my EOI and need your advice on NOC to use and the amount of points i can claim for work experience.

Employment History:

  • Head of Operations (NOC 0016 but has related responsibilities to NOC 0911) 1st Dec 2017 to date (2 yrs)
  • Production Manager (NOC 0911) Jan 2014 to Nov 2017 (3 years 11 months)
  • Leaf Growing Mgr (related to NOC 0113 and NOC 0114) Mar 2012 to Dec 2013 (1 year 10 months)
  • Operations Management Trainee (related to NOC 0911) Mar 2010 to Feb 2012 (2 yrs)
Is it possible to claim points for the all the different NOC codes as My EE profile contains all?

I intend using NOC 0016 since it has higher chances of invitation than NOC 0911. And how many points can I claim for this?

If I should use NOC 0911, how many points can I claim for this?

Thank you
