Hello guys,

I was also nominated by SINP under NOC 2171. You dont have to be a programmer to work under NOC 2171. Its a business analyst or system analyst related job function. Even a project manager can work under this NOC.

I am not a programmer. My job requires carrying out scoping and doing analysis before a project is initiated. Also involves following up with the all the technical team members involved and providing updates to management. So anyone whose job is similar to this is qualified to claim NOC 2171.

Cheerz

Hi! You gave us light of hope! My husband is a Business Development Manager. Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.), Industrial Engineering & Management and Master of Public Administration (MPA), Strategic management. Does his education and job go under 2171? Can we apply for SINP OID? He says he doest 70% of what is stated in job description.

Thanks in advance!

I have similar problem. I have b.com and MBA.
I am an IT business analyst with 10 years of experience in requirements gathering and scoping etc. perfectly matches to noc 2171..

Applied in last intake.

I have been hearing in the recent past that my education may not match With my experience and I would be rejected etc.

Am feeling completely awkward as I have a decade experience in the same and working for top class IT company.

Please some throw some light on their experience..

Hi,

I got my bachelor's in electrical engineering but have 4+ years experience in Business Analysis (Noc 2171) in U.S. Do you think my education credential is going to be an issue?

Anyone else with a different major than Computers or Business administration who were able to secure a spot under NOC 2171?

Probably reject it in the first shock. This is the only way, to sort out a few hundred of the millions of people

Hello,
I am in a similar position like yours. Did my BE in EEE and then worked as an analyst for 3 years --> then did my MS in Info Systems - --> that relates to current role as a BA but not sure about the 1st job after BE.

Did you apply or were you able to proceed further ?

Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to know if NOC 2171 is still in demand in SINp . I have heard 2171 is out of oid
No. It is not there.
But it is in NS PNP on demand list.

Does sinp occupation in demand list going to change as need basis??

I hope Information Technology comes back in demand

Nobody can say. By the way, it never happened.

Hi Guys,

I have 4 years of experience as Systems Analyst (NOC 2171). My educational background is, I have masters degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Would it be a problem as I don't have computer science related degree. As part of my masters I had finished database related courses as part of my systems engineering. Would it be a problem during the process. I have to submit documents in a month. Could you please help me on how to proceed on this.

Thanks!

Where do you have to submit these NOC related papers?
If it is SINP, then 50-50% chances.

Thanks for your reply!

This is for Express entry. I received ITA two months ago and have to submit the required documents in August.

Do you suggest any ideas on how I can improve my chances? Does good experience letters will help in this case?

I think your job Reference letters wii be good and well explained. Main issue is Education related to intended occupation. Those people check this very closely. You are Mechanical Engineer and applying for IT related NOC 2171. EXPLAIN This thing properly. Well explain that this was in your course. You studied it. Make some relevant papers like Marksheels, Project related work, collect some related letter from University or college, Letter of explanation etc. That they have believe that you have studied it.
