Hi, just want to ask how long does the processing usually take after they ask you to submit the missing/incomplete documents?

This is my time line:
January 2012 = Applied SINP-Skilled Worker Category
February 2012 = Received Acknowledgement/Confirmation
July 2012 = Visited SINP office in Regina to follow-up and was told that application was in the middle of processing
November 2012 = Received email to inform about the missing/incomplete documents and instructed to submit within 45 days
December 1, 2012 = Visited SINP office again to personally bring the documents

I am a tourist right now and have just extended my stay while waiting for the nomination so that I can change my status and start working. Does anyone have any idea how long will it take after complying/submitting other needed documents? Please advice how to proceed in this matter.

Thank you! :)

There is no general rule. Some people had to submit more information and it took months after and in some cases they got the nomination soon after. Did you apply before or after the changes? If before than your employer will get a phone call before you get your nomination. And there as well are differences in how soon after the call you get your nomination. I heard of people who got it after two weeks and some got it after a couple of months or longer. I think no one knows how they decide who gets what when.

Thanks again JCS for your advice about contacting MLA. I was told by my employer that she got a call from SINP, that same day in I checked my email in the afternoon and there I received the instruction to submit the missing/incomplete documents. I think the changes was implemented in May after I submitted my application in January.

than it should be close. If they are good you will get it this year. they already varified your employment and in general only need to go through the missing documents. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll hear from them very soon.

I forgot to ask...do you have any idea how long will it take to become immigrant if the SINP applicant received the nomination? Will he/she be required of working for 6 mos. to a year first before immigrant processing continues?
Thanks again for your help....it's well appreciated! :)

After getting nominated you will get two letter; one is for your work permit and the other one you have to send with your PR application. You can apply for PR right away (the letter is only valid for a certain time) and if all the docs are correct you will get your file number after about two months; few days later you should get your Medical request and starting at that time it will take about ten months to get your PR (if you're in-canada applicant; I don't know if the visa office for your home country would be quicker and if you could choose it).

Okay, thanks for the input! Is there any instance that during the PR processing, the applicant changed employer? Will the immigration allow it and it will just continue as long as you inform them about the reason of change of employer or the SINP processing will have to start again from step 1 with the new employer? Thanks again, hope you won't get tired of responding.
