I don't know due to some Budget issues, crown corporations are not really hiring people so they won't give me a Permanent Job offer. All they gave is is a term offer for 1 year. they said they will renew it once again. for SINP I guess I would need a permanent job offer to apply in any of the schemes :(

You can search/arrange any employer in Sask except Crown. This is the easiest and very convenient for you.

True, I am trying since a long time but no success. Someone suggested me another option. I will complete 1 year of NOC -b 2282 Job in Canada. So i can apply for Express entry under Canadian express category, i don't need to show funds under that as well.

What do you think? should i forget SINP and try CEC then?

2282 is not in the list of 21 jobs Occupation in High Demand Sask. It is applicable for EE and OID similarly. But if you will arrange job offer for this, you can apply. What about this student category? Have you checked it?

ha ha ha, dear you are more knowledgeable than me. You are living in Sask and you have practical experience. And I am only studying about that.

Dear All, I have applied in the last intake Feb 15th. Got a query related to job and education.

I have a Bachelors degree in Commerce and an MBA degree specialized in Banking and Finance & am currently working as an "IT Business analyst" for the last 10 Years in a leading software organization.

NOC 2171 perfectly suits my job profile/Job responsibility and as per CIC website any candidate who wish to apply in NOC 2171 should have atlas one year of exp following education and in my case I hold a master's degree in business administration.

Am i eligible.. Really confused as SINP website says.. Atleast 1 year experience related to education ( Though 2171 says Degree in business administration is considered)

Any inputs Please??

Really confused.

I am new to this. Have been reading this forum. Thanks a lot to everyone; tons of information here.

A few of questions:

  • What is the meaning of a "sub-category being opened"? Does it mean that then we can go to the OASIS site and submit the application?
  • At what time (Canadian Time) does a sub-category open? Where is this information first available?
  • If the express-entry sub-category opens first (say in March beginning) and I apply to it; then OID sub-category opens 2 weeks later; can I apply to OID sub-category as well?

Thanks...

It is called Intake, not sub category.
It can open any time, you have to keep close eye on these forums.
You can apply for both then later stage have withdraw one of them

In my last 5 years work-experience, there is a period of 9 months where I co-founded a startup. During this period I did not draw any salary and I quit the company after 9 months.

I have taken a reference letter for the 9 months work experience from the current CEO, mentioning the fact that I was a co-founder and hence did not draw any salary.

Will the officer evaluating my application count these 9 months as part of my work experience OR is he/she likely to discount them?

(Applying in NOC 0213)

Thanks...

Don't mention about non salaried, only show as experience. Don't write anything about salary. I didn't write anything as well, they haven't asked yet.
If possible , choose NOC 2171. Because 0213 is very high demanding, needs 10 yrs SR. Manager experience
