From 2013 to 2017 it should be 8 points. If I'm right the experience between those years is 4 and so you will end up with 8 points.
Yes, but total 11 points. Check it

Hi,

But i believe it would be 12 points, since i have found this statement written in OASIS page.

" If an application is submitted on 1-Jan-2014, points for experience gained during the most recent five years would be from 2009-2013, and points for experience gained during the six to ten year period would be from 2004-2008."

So having said that,in my case, calculation of points should be as follows keeping in mind my experience is from 14th Feb 2011 to 7th Feb-2017(Today's date).

2013-2017 - 10 points -Most recent is 2017.
2011-2013 - 2 Points

Please suggest.

Also since i have experience of 45 hours per week.Would it increase my points in terms of more number of months ?

Thanks,
Pankaj

For example, you are working from 1st january, 2013, then calculation is as follows :-
From 1 St January, 2013 to 31 Dec 2013 - 1 year
............,,,,,,,,,,,..... ........ .2014. - 2 year
,,. .. . . ..,,,,,,,,,,,,.. ......2015 - 3 year
......................,,,,,,,,,. ... ....2016. - 4 year
1st January, 2017 to 7 February, 2017 - Not 5 year
But if u will apply in Dec last week, then it is okay,

Thanks a lot...since i am working 45 hours per week(Instead of required 40 hours) for last six years ,will that be accumulated while calculating points ?

On similar note, I think you only need to count the experience you have for the noc code that you are applying to. For example you have 5 years of experience, 1st year is for noc 2174, 4 years for 2171 and you are applying as 2171, then only 4 years will be considered.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

You can try by putting in a LOE with your application and explain to them this. But its entirely upto the officer to consider it or not. You can always try. Worst case is you will get rejected for not having enough points that you claimed for your work experience.

I think no. I don't read or hear anywhere about this.

Hi,

I have read in some thread that any experience more than 6 months will be considered as 1 year and gets you a nomination.

Since I have few months short of work experience to get 2 points to achieve my points so as to apply for SINP.I have one of my uncle who owns a company and he can provide me experience letter in his company letter head with company address and phone number.Would it be wise to generate the reference letter on his company letter head (or) to get a notarized letter from him for job reference (or) to wait for few months ?

Is there any strong verification done for job reference letter ?

Thanks,
Pankaj

Standard working hours are 40 hours per week only, I don't think you can claim more than that.
