Hi Friends,
I have many documents translated. These translations were done many years ago by two diffrent translators.
1) Is providing affidavits from all these translators a must
2) Do we need to have a seperate affidavit for each translation.
the OASIS user guide available at
http://www.publications.gov.sk.ca/details.cfm?p=89059 says
"When scanning documents that have been translated, please scan the original document and the English or French translation, and the SINP Translator Affidavit as one document. Please find the affidavit form at: (
http://publications.gov.sk.ca/documents/310/85134-translator-affidavit.pdf )"
This implies each document need to have a seperate afidavit right ?
But in the OASIS application portal, there is a separate section to upload the affidavit which means there is a common affidavit for all the translations.
But when you refer to affidavit template provided by SINP guide
http://publications.gov.sk.ca/documents/310/85134-translator-affidavit.pdf,
there is a section like this
"
I have read the document affixed hereto
and marked Exhibit “A” to this, my
declaration, which is written in
the _______________ Language and I have read
over the translated document
which is written in the
ENGLISH
language, which
is marked Exhibit “B” to this my Declarat
ion and I declare that
the contents of the
document are the same as the contents of the _______________ document."
what do you think should come for the second line, isn't it the name of document being translated ? which means each and every translation should have an affidavit . But the OASIS portal only provides a single section to upload an affidavit.
I am pretty confused on this.
Can someone please clarify what you guys did and the correct approach to take
Thanks
