Hi,

I have some question about the SINP Hospitality sector pilot project.
The new rule states that, "As of April 30, 2010, employers must receive approval from the SINP to participate in the project before their employees arrive in Canada."
-- does this mean that foreign workers from Alberta cannot go to Saskatchewan and apply for this project, since they are already in Canada?

let us say, I am an employer from Saskatchewan and I applied for this pilot project(after april 30, 2010) and got approved then I want to hire a foreign worker who is in Alberta to work in my company in Saskatchewan, is she eligible for this project?
I think what they really want to tell with this rule is that, the approval must be received before the worker starts working, not necessarily the worker must be outside of Canada.
any idea?

I would also assume that this program is for employers who are employing staff in Saskatchewan. If the foreign employee is living and working in Alberta the would be part of AINP not SINP. To get a SINP nomination you have to undertake to work on Saskatchewan which is not possible.

sorry for misunderstanding. what I really meant in here is that, I want to hire a foreign worker who is currently working in Alberta to work in my company in Saskatchewan. First, I will apply for the Hospitality sector pilot project program, then I will apply for the employee's LMO then work permit. Then move the employee from Alberta to Saskatchewan. The question is, is she eligible for this pilot project?

Talk to the people running the project, if the have approved you already and see that you are behaving dilligently in using the scheme, you'll be amazed how helpful they can be.

we moved here in SK from AB, and my employer's 3rd party agent is wants me to pay him(Can40000) for me to be eligible for Hospitality Sector Pilot Project, which of course i didn't pay. So now my question is, does the "employee" needs to get pre-approval from SINP to be able to eligible on HSPP OR is it the "business company" itself that needs to get approval for the employee be eligible on HSPP? i am currently working as a non skilled employee.... thank you.
