Which intake did you applied and what is ur NOC?

Once they have returned your application there is nothing you can do especially if its for missing documents. Be prepared for the next intake as it might happen anytime soon.

Thanks Pavanm... It's indeed very helpful... i thought i'd get PR in less than 6 months...

Sure you can get PR in less than 6 months. It all depends on the average processing time at your designated Visa Office. I will be applying to Accra VO since I am from Nigeria and from what i have seen most applications are decide within 3 to 4 months. I have heard it takes 1 month at the UK Visa Office....

All the best!

Hello Ruby Congrats,

Please can you share what you summited as birth certificate? what I have is just a sworn affidavit declaration of age, but I saw something about having parents name on the birth certificate. Did you get a birth certificate with your parent's name on it?

Hello,

Yes, i actually submitted my original birth certificate with both of my parents names and my date and place of birth.

So after my status went to "in process" on the 15th of August, I got a mail from SINP yesterday to send my POF.

Thing is when I submitted my application on July 20, there were a few forms I did not upload including my POF as I didn't wanna miss the cap and as I read that one could send the outstanding documents to them via email.

So exactly a week after submission, which was on July 27th, I sent my outstanding forms in one mail to SINP and then my POF in another mail to them. This was my only choice as the documents were too bulky to send as one attachment.

I noticed that SINP uploaded the outstanding forms I sent to them on the 16th of Aug but I did not see any changes in the section for settlement funds.

Guess they never saw the mail I sent with my POF on July 20 which made them send a mail to me yesterday asking for it again. I responded to their mail yesterday as well and made sure I pointed out to them the fact that I had sent it to them last month. I even used the mail thread in responding to their mail.

So fingers crossed.

However , I still can't seem to understand why they would return an application based on missing document(s), while they request for missing document(s) from other applicants. i read here that someone's application was returned because he missed 3 documents. Guess it depends on the person reviewing the documents or something.

Anyways, good luck to everyone and better luck next time to those whose application was returned.

Hi Vidhi2016, I am really sorry about your application being returned. I really wish we knew the reason why some applicants like myself are given the opportunity to send them missing documents based on SINP's request while other people's applications are just returned without giving them a chance.

Better luck next time and in all your PNP endeavours.

Ruby

Thanks for your reply. but do you think affidavit with parents name and birth place will be accepted? because I have been using 'declaration of age' affidavit all my life, I do not have the original birth certificate."'
Also on the generic form could you please give me a little explanation about what they meant by intended "occupation" and 'current occupation"? Many thanks.
