SINP application approved - next step if already in SK as a tourist?

Hi all! I just received an email saying that my application to SINP as a skilled worker was approved. I wonder if someone has experienced applying for a work permit at the border since I'm already living here in Saskatchewan for a year with a tourist visa? I'm hoping to just change it from tourist to work visa....is that possible at the border without getting a U.S. visa first? What dio I need to bring there? Please share your experiences.

yes, I'm able to. But I had to extend my stay for 3 times while waiting for my nomination....just to make sure I'm on the safe side.

Hi verveiko, thanks fro your reply! May I know what are the things & how much money to bring at the border? I'm reading some instructions in the web and says there are forms I need to download and sign plus I should show a job offer letter....my concern is that, I have mine but it's already a year old because SINP took a year to process before I got my nomination....will it be ok to bring an old job offer letter or I will have to ask for a new one from my prospect employer? Thanks again....

I didn't do it at the border. Right now I'm applying and waiting for work permit approval. I sent the application together with my passport so I won't go to the border at al...almost one month of waiting now....
