applied in march.........hopefully will take 1yr at least

I was under the impression that once the application was submitted then the approval stages would be completed within a few weeks.
I know someone who had a quick response and was in Canada within a few weeks of submission.

Maybe I've misunderstood the process, or else perhaps there were problems with your submitted applications that caused the delays?

Anyone any idea why the delays are hsappening?

I applied in November 2011 for Skilled Worker category and I'm still waiting. No additional documents have been requested, and my employer got a call 5 weeks ago to verify job offer and he was told my application was at the final stage... they are taking 10-12 months to process straight forward files,

I wouldn't count on quick application process.. but you never know, they might just shock us all!! :

SINP is clearing files of those applicants who have applied under work permit and their work permit is going to expire.........

My hubby is already in Saskatchewan and his employer supports him in everything and by the help of God of course. We are now on the process of our PR.

I am in Saskatchewan too and applied on April 2012. My working visa is going to expire on Oct 30 2012. But my file is still under process.

but you must have a valid work permit for to be able to stay in canada, or else you go home.Me and my husband have receive already a medical request form from cic for our PR application
