I had applied for SINP on 3rd Jan 2016. Yesterday(21 Apr) i got a mail from SINP for missing documents pertaining to birth certificate. I had submitted a birth certificate, however, it was not having my name on it. As per SINP the certificate is not acceptable as it is not having my name on it. The options which they have provided are
1) obtain a Birth Certificate with name or
2) provide a non‐availability certificate AND one of the following documents:
‐ Education documents with birth date and parent’s name
‐ Baptismal certificate
‐ I.D. cards (with date of birth and parent’s name)
‐ National Voting Card
‐ Family/Household Registries

Not sure if i can get my name added in my birth certificate. I am based in Delhi and was born in Mumbai. Did a little research and getting name added if born before 1989 is kind of time taking and i have only 45 days to respond.
The second option is ruled out as i am having a birth certificate.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or has anything to add on how to get the name added or any other option.?

You dont have a voter id card too?

Settlement Plan:

To prepare a settlement plan according to SINP instructions, just follow the steps below:

STEP#01 ----> just go to the URL: http://www.cic.gc.ca/lctvac/english/index

STEP#02 ----> Answer all the questions properly.

STEP#04 ----> At the end, you would find a PRINT button, just PRINT the Settlement Plan.

STEP#05 ----> Scan the Settlement Plan.

Hello nickarter84, this information was very helpful to me.
Two questions I would like to ask, do we need to have all these documents during primary Online application or we can fill that later on??

In second, my current experience letter dated on 28th September 2015, shows three years of experience (however experience till date is mentioned there), but to get 61 points, I need to have 4 years of experience, which I already have now by 2016 but not shown by old experience letter. Do I need to update the experience letter in April 2016 which will clearly indicate 4 years of experience or old one will work for me as well?

Thanking you in advance.

I have the PAN card, Voter's card and the AAdhar card. Problem is SINP want a birth certificate with my name on it or a non availability certificate which is not possible to get as i have a birth certificate.
The Voter's card option would work with Non availability of birth certificate as per what they have written.

I have got my ECA report from WES... do you mean I have submit addition copy of transcript which I get from my university

1. University Degree - is a single paged certificate from university contained degree title after completion of graduation.

2. Transcript - is marksheet which contains grade or marks for each subject or credit you passed in every years or semester. Generally, 4 years graduation= 8 semester= 8 transcripts

3. ECA - Educational credential assessment is the equivalency assessment report from WES/UCAS/Others which shows equivalency of your local degree with Canadian educational framework.

All 3 is needed for SINP application. Thanks

The Voter's card option would work with Non availability of birth certificate as per what they have written.

May be you can write to them explaining that adding name to an existing birth certificate is not possible/takes lot of time and requesting to accept your voter id card, which has parents' names
