I am facing an issue:

Parents' Name in Birth Certificate is with Initials. Like : X. Y. Abcd
But in Passport their name is in the expanded form i.e. X and Y is expanded.

Will this be an issue? Grateful if someone can guide.

Also Nick,

the site http://www.economy.gov.sk.ca/immigration/occupations-in-demand lists the following 2 Forms for family/dependents, but your list indicates only one of them.. Is it that the other one is not required?

•Additional Dependants/Declaration
•Additional Family Information Form

Kindly clarify.

This form would be require if you have more than 4 dependents.

Shouldn't be an issue.
but even if you are not satisfied then write a Letter in which mention this situation

I have name and spelling variations in my birth certificate, passport and educational documents
So, I include a letter with my application and explained this situation.

Dear All,

Please guide me Can I show property as a proof of funds?

Many Thanks

Acceptable proof of funds are:

1. Bank accounts in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
2. Cash-able investments in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
3. Cash-able fixed deposits in your name of the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner.

Not acceptable are:

1. Bank accounts in someone else’s name;
2. Bank accounts which are joint in your name and someone else (other than your accompanying spouse/common-law partner);
3. Bank accounts in the name of your spouse who is not accompanying you to Canada ;
4. Property valuations;
5. Vehicle valuations;
6. Jewellery valuations.

In short anything is that is volatile (bonds, shares) or that cannot be easily transferred (liquidated) cannot be used as proof of funds.

Dear Seniors,

My husband's ECA assessment result is Bachelors Degree 3 years, however SINP either has University Bachelors Degree 3 years or more and Diploma 2 years to choose from for education points which will give 20 points and 15 points respectively. His institution is categorized as a College and not a university in the country. In this case, which option should he choose?

Thanks

University or college
Doesn't matter....
According to the result of ECA, its Bachelor degree 3 years
Therefore, he will get 20 points

Hi Nick,

I just got a reply from sinp yesterday and they said to claim points under Diploma 2 years which would give 15 points only :( They would have misunderstood the question or have become more strict now.

Do you know of anyone in the forums who's had this same situation but was able to claim 20 points just for a sigh of relief?

15 points would not give him the total 60 points he needed for SINP.

Thanks

I answered according to my knowledge, but you got a reply from rule makers which is more authentic then any other's reply in this forum

You may double check with them, they might misunderstood the question as you said.

I wish u Luck for your process
