Hello members,
I am applying TRV for my parents and younger sister from Bangladesh and our visa office is in Singapore. Do you have any idea about approval rate/ considered facts over there?
Thanks

The decision is not based on the location of the visa office/IRCC. It is based on your family member's credentials and capacity to travel. They must meet the following requirements.
· your family can convince an immigration officer that they have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that they will go back to your home country
· your family can convince an immigration officer that they will leave Canada at the end of their visit
· your family have enough money in the bank and for their stay in Canada

I am Filipino who used to work in Singapore. I applied for a TRV in Singapore twice. Initially they gave me Single Entry and on the 2nd time I was granted Multiple Entry.

My profile when I applied : Single, no properties, have 2 year work visa in Singapore (renewable).
I think my money in the bank and work in Singapore were the key why I was granted a visa.

@kat3onah- many thanks for your feedback. May I know when did you apply? I was thinking it's usually multiple entry for TRV. How long did you get the visa for both entries?

@kat3onah - I am just wondering is there any options for choosing single/multiple entry on paper application OR it's depend on visa officer?
Parents are applying for 2 weeks. If its approved, how will be the validity of TRV?
Thanks

The number of entries depends on the visa officer. If they grant Multiple Entry, the validity will be from the day they approve the visa to the expiry date of the passport. For my Single Entry, the validity was 6 months.

@kat3onah- want to share the case. Kindly put your feedback/chances for TRV
- Dad is primarily applicant and mom and younger sister (dependent under 22) are accompanying him
- Dad is a doctor. Retired from Government job. After that doing a full time job too and also a regular family physician at one health center. Mom is housewife and sister is final year undergraduate student
- papers submit:
Dad- NOC, tax return, pension, notarized property valuation papers, bank statement of CAD 57,000 and Fixed deposit of CAD 1,50,000 ,LOE with day to day itinerary (declaration of cover all costs for three persons and leave Canada after two weeks visit)
Mom- financial declaration letter from dad with bank statement, two properties notarized valuation paper
Sister- NOC from university, financial declaration letter from dad with bank statement, student ID, mark sheet and money receipts upto now

Purpose- visit me and my family (specially meet my kids for the first time and sightseeing)

Travel history: Dad- Thailand, Malaysia, Ireland and India. Mom and sister only India

Back to ties: Dad's job and regular practise as family physician since he has been doing since long time. Mom will return with them. She must come back because two flats will be closing by end of this year, so she definitely present. Sister will continue semester and finish her study also( confirmation by dad on LOE) . My parents also need to take care of grandparents whenever they visit them.

Invitation letter: sent by me stating I will provide only food and accommodation, all other costs will be covered by dad.

Kindly advise if any other papers needed
Thanks

I think as long as it can prove your family's ties such as a job, home, financial assets or family it is recommended.
Do back read on the forums as there are cases where in the Parent's TRV are approved but the sibling is denied.
