Thanks :)
AoR December the First
Country of residence is Malaysia (where VFS is open but it sounds like I need to wait for Singapore's VAC to open)
Sorry to ask you. Did you raise a web form or send directly email to SGVO? Thank you

I'm not sure how "official" webform replies are but this is what I got earlier this week
Congratulations. I'm sure your application was approved back in March when you received the second GU. At least, it was the case for me, which I got to know through the GCMS notes.

I don't think you have to wait for Singapore's VAC, as you will be submitting your passport to Malaysian VFS for further processing. However, Malaysian VFS are only conducting limited duties, including biometric collection and passport returned to pre-COVID applicants.

I previously raised a webform through the GC portal where we login to see our status. one of their replies suggested I use this form (which is where the response I quoted was responding to):

Perhaps. I actually order my own GCMS notes last week. Not sure when is a reasonable time to expect them to arrive though.

That one is perplexing me. If they're closed, I understand that there's nothing to be done and will just wait for further updates. But this, just leaves me confused, that's why I was wondering if maybe they're awaiting for the SGVO to request for my passport, which I suppose won't happen till they reopen

GCMS notes take about 30 days to arrive, but in some cases they can take longer. If they will take longer than 30 days then you will be notified about the delay as well.

Are those 30 days days or 30 working days?
The legislated timeframe for processing is 30 calendar days. CIC can extend the time limit to respond to a request beyond the 30 calendar days if:

    • the request is for a large number of records or requires a search through a large number of records, and the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of CIC
    • external consultations are necessary and cannot reasonably be expected to be completed within the original time limit or
    • notice to a third party is required to advise him or her that his or her information is the subject of a request

When is Singapore going to Phase 2 of Post-Circuit Breaker?
Initially the starting of Phase 2 was set out to be end of June only if the number of cases remains stable.. But then, SG Government said they will assess the situation mid-June to see if Phase 2 can begin earlier.. Long story short, at the moment, there is uncertainty about when SG goes into Phase 2.

Do you know when VAC Singapore opens? will it open with phase 2? Honestly, I am very shocked that VAC SG is still closed despite of opening hairdressers, and many other stores where close contact is inevitable...

That's the most mystifying thing to me

It has been announced that Phase 2 of Post-Circuit Breaker in Singapore is on 19 June 2020. Will the VFS Global VAC (Visa Application Centre) still be closed?

The VFS Global VAC in Singapore does not answer my calls nor respond to my emails. Is anyone able to call or email them?:mad::mad:
