Hi moyrzg,

I am also planning to submit my documents by end of November. I am currently working here in Singapore. But I just want to ask for your advise if its better to choose Singapore Visa office than Manila VO? Because they said that Manila Visa Office processing is quite fast.
What do you think?

If Manila VO, is the mailing address should be in the Philippines? Or I can use our address here in sg.

Thank you so much in advance!

And the mailing address.. Can i give my address in manila? Or should be in singapore because this is where in staying currently.

Hi jnthan and bilderberg

I'm also from the Philippines and planning to submit my application as FSW but it's good to know from you that processing in Manila VO is faster compared here in SG.

I'll be submitting my application as Federal Skilled Worker (with arranged employment) and there are things that I need to clarify and if you don't mind I need your two cents on this.

First, here's my Work Experience History:
1. Oct 2010 - Present - My present company - Chef (skilled) (13 months)
2. Jun 2010 - Oct 2010 - Previous Employer A - Chef (skilled) (4 months)
3. Sep 2009 - Jan 2010 - Previous Employer B - Chef (skilled) (4 months)
4. Jul 2008 - May 2009 - Previous Employer C - Commis Trainee or Chef Trainee (10 months)
5. Feb 2006 - Jul 2008 - Previous Employer D - Customer Service representative (non-skilled) (29 months)
6. Dec 2002 - Jan 2006 - Previous Employer E - Cook (skilled) (38 months)

My concerns are the following:
1) If you noticed I have two of my skilled jobs above (2 & 3), with 4 months duration only, will they still be included for assessment or only at least 12months work duration is/are eligible for points and assessment?
I have read this but still unclear to me though:
(You will earn points for the number of years you have spent in full-time (37.5 hours per week, or the equivalent in part-time), paid work.)

2) Job 4 is actually full-time paid apprenticeship for 10 months but I was not so sure of should I consider this as a work experience or education?

3) Job 5 is the longest duration of my employment in a skilled occupation however the company is already closed and I do not have anything that I could use as an evidence that I have worked for the company. Given my situation, I know that there's no way I could still have this assessed but is it okay to just put this in my personal history?

Hope you can help me with my concerns and looking forward to hear from you. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply bro! :) Question again if you dont mind, In form IMM0008_Schedule 3 Economic Classes, they were asking for an asset, do I need to show my bank account to show my asset? I know that the settlement fund it is required. But there is no specific guidelines for asset.

Please correct me if I am wrong, If for example, I have 1,000,000 in my account..
Asset 1,000,000??? or 300,000 (remaining money)??
Settlement Fund 700,000

Is my asset 1,000,000 or my remaining money after the settlement is deducted?

Others can give their opinion too. Cos I am really confused on this question.

Thanks to your patience in answering my question!

kctorres,

1. you already seem to know the rule of 37.5 hours requirement.
OP6 says, any job that has been performed in the last 10 yrs had to be a duration of 1 year.

2. If you had signed a job contract for it, you were paid a salary, you paid tax- only then it would be counted as a job by CIC.

3. try collecting a experience letter from your manager or supervisor. locate him, ask him to sign and attach a cover letter. you must include this in your personal history. I guess you will be able to show the related papers of that job. payslip, salary statements, tax papers etc. what about Job 6? you seem to have worked in that for quite a long time ( 38 months)

As far as I know, you should include this to be able to get the maximum points because if you will not include this they will just based the points on the work that you declared. You can wait for others to reply too, to be sure. :) They will add up the number of your experiences just like mine, I also have 6 mos experience but still include it to avail the maximum points for work experience.

Since its paid i think its on work experience. Lets wait for others to reply too.

- I actually meant Job 6 as the company that's already closed.
